About Melabiz

Peace, Family.

This is a space built for youth. A space where young people can rise, heal, and take control of their future. We are more than just a nonprofit—we are a youth drop-in center and a movement rooted in equity, access, and empowerment, making sure every young person has the support they need to thrive. For too long, opportunities have been out of reach for many in our community, and we’re here to change that.

With violent crime among youth in Phoenix up 76% and over 500 school-based gun threats reported yearly in Maricopa County, the need for safe spaces, mentorship, and real opportunities has never been greater. Studies show that mentorship programs reduce the likelihood of youth involvement in violence by nearly 55%, yet so many young people still lack access to these life-changing resources.

This isn’t just about programs—it’s about changing the narrative. It’s about the young person who walks in feeling unheard and walks out with a plan, the single parent who finds the support they need, the returning citizen who gets a second chance at stability. We provide free essentials like Confidence Kits, period care, safe sex kits, a Clothing Closet, and crisis intervention support because we know that thriving starts with having your basic needs met. Our drop-in center is open to any youth who needs a safe space, guidance, or just a place to be.

We started because we saw the gaps firsthand—youth and families struggling to find resources, communities being left behind, and people falling through the cracks simply because they didn’t have the right support system. Our work is about removing barriers, building futures, and making sure no one is left behind. This is a movement, and if you’re here, you’re part of it.

Together, we rise.
